How Often Should You Clean Your Gutters in Washington?

If you live anywhere in Pierce or King County, your gutters work overtime. Between fall leaf drop, winter storms, spring pollen, and summer pine needles, debris piles up fast.
Our recommendation: clean gutters twice a year minimum — late spring and late fall. Homes with heavy evergreen or maple cover should add a third cleaning in midwinter.
Skipping a cleaning is the leading cause of fascia rot, foundation drainage problems, and ice-dam damage in the PNW. A $200 cleaning prevents thousands in repairs.
